Elements selection (main editor)
This window opens from the main editor via the Elements toolbar button. It shows the grid of physical elements in the currently loaded domain and lets you update their configuration parameters without leaving the editor.
To add new elements or change an element type you must use the
start window (Elements tab → New / Edit).
Here you can only update parameters of already defined elements.
Elements grid
Each row corresponds to a domain element. Columns show the configuration parameters, which you can edit directly in the cell.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique element name. Used in timeline labels. |
| Type | Hardware category: Servo BUS, Servo PWM, Switch, Audio, Trigger Button. |
| Model / PWM mode | Hardware model (e.g. ST3215) or PWM mode (PIN, PCA9685). |
| Port | Communication port to which the element is physically connected. |
| Address / Pin / Channel | Serial ID (SERVO_BUS), pin number (SERVO_PWM PIN, SWITCH), or PCA9685 channel. |
| Minimum | Minimum angular position of the servo in degrees. Not used for SWITCH. |
| Initial | Servo start position when the port is opened. For SWITCH: initial state (0 = Off, 1 = On). |
| Maximum | Maximum angular position of the servo in degrees. Not used for SWITCH. |
| Color | Track color in the timeline. |
Buttons
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save and exit | Applies changes to the domain and closes the window. |
| Exit without saving | Closes the window discarding changes. |
Element types
| Type | Notes |
|---|---|
| Servo BUS | Serial servo (e.g. Waveshare ST3215). Requires unique ID on the chain and D4C (DEIMOS) protocol. → Servo BUS editor |
| Servo PWM | PWM-controlled servo. PIN mode (direct pin) or PCA9685 (I2C channel). → Servo PWM editor |
| Switch | Digital ON/OFF output. Does not use Min/Max fields. → Switch editor |
| Trigger Button | Physical button connected to DEIMOS for manual animation activation. Does not generate timeline segments. → Trigger Button editor |
The Initial field is the position the servo returns to when playback stops
or the port is closed. Always set it safely to avoid mechanical strain.
