Switch editor
The Switch editor lets you define or edit a digital ON/OFF output (relay, LED, solenoid, etc.). It opens from the start window → Elements tab → New or Edit button, selecting the Switch type.
A switch corresponds to a digital pin on the controller.
During playback, SWITCH segments drive it high (ON) or low (OFF).
It does not support intermediate positions or speed: it is ON/OFF only.

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique switch identifier in the domain (e.g. "Eye LED", "Fog relay"). Required. |
| Description | Free notes about the element (optional). |
| Port | Domain port where the controller is connected (e.g. COM5 with Arduino). Required. |
| Pin | Digital pin number on the controller the switch is connected to (1–255). Required: pin 0 is not valid. |
| Initial state | Pin state when the port is opened and when playback ends: Off (0 = LOW) or On (1 = HIGH). |

Common errors
| Message | Cause and solution |
|---|---|
| Name required | The name field is empty. Enter a unique name. |
| Pin not set | The pin is 0. Enter a value from 1 to 255 matching the digital pin on the controller. |
| Name already exists | An element with the same name already exists. Use a different name. |
| Duplicate pin | Another switch or PWM servo on the same port already uses that pin. Each pin must be assigned to one element only. |
The pin is checked against the profile of the port's board: see Boards and reserved pins.
