Domain editor
The domain editor lets you create or modify the identifying properties of a domain. It opens from the start window via the New button (creation) or Edit (modification).
Available fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique identifier for the domain. Used as the folder name on disk and as a reference in animations. Cannot contain special characters or spaces. |
| Description | Free text to annotate the domain context (e.g. "Main character — scene act 2"). Optional. |
Naming rules
- The name must be unique among domains in the configured folder.
- It cannot be empty.
- Allowed characters are letters, digits, hyphen (-), and underscore (_).
- Changing the name of an existing domain also renames it on disk.
Save and cancel
Press OK to confirm changes. Press Cancel to exit without saving.
In creation mode, OK creates the domain folder and the domain.json file.
Use the description to record the physical hardware setup version:
e.g. "Rev. 2 — ST3215 servos, DEIMOS board v1.5". This simplifies future maintenance.
